Every year, the Nat King Cole Society holds a birthday bash in commemoration of Nat
King Cole for his musical achievements as well as the impact he had in the molding of
the history of the Montgomery region.
The Nat King Cole Society has an Annual Gospelfest at Beulah Baptist Church, the home of Nat King Cole's father who was a minister there, and his mother who was the organist. Beulah Baptist Church is located in Montgomery, Alabama.
The Nat King Cole Society holds a luncheon for seniors during the week of Nat King Cole's Birthday in honor of his memory.
The Nat King Cole Society is committed to the growth and development of America's Youth. In addition to engaging in music and the arts, educational, health/wellness and economic development programs, we feel it is important to aid in developing talented young Americans in pursuit of higher education. We award scholarships to every public high school in Montgomery County, Alabama. Selected high school seniors receive $500 each toward their college tuition. Students should be actively involved in leadership roles in their school or community. Applications for scholarships must be received by April 30th of each year. Notification of awards will be made on May 26th of each year. Attendance to the awards luncheon is mandatory. This application may be utilitzed by students entering college. Incomplete applications and Facsimiles will not be considered. However, the application may be copied.
